INVESTMENT FRAUD

Still reeling from being stung by a polished investment fraud. Went on for months. I thought I had made initial contact through internet so not cold call I thought.
Took my time, researched both company and person. Incredible length went to to appear legit. Boiler room fraud it appears to be, but dont think I ever spoke to someone so financially impressive.

I have lost quite a bit, police involved. Companys I invested in where berenberg bank and brock hartwick both based in london for a long time.

So damage limitation, both psychological and financial. Can losses of this magnitude be considered in tax returns??? Anyone ever get a loss like this back, I HAVE EMAILS, NUMBERS, NAMES, FAX MACHINE CONTACTS. metropolitan police involved.

input appreciated??. I never thought I would be in this position, so be careful, suspicious with these guys, **** practically paranoid. I would not wish that feeling on anyone.

Hi I have been caught out by Brock Hartwick as well all my savings gone. They advertised on facebook and that was my initial contact.

A Robert Hampton was my contact (if that was his real name)a smooth talker he was in contact with me up to 2 weeks ago.I rang their phone number last week 26/06/2014 and a guy answered it said this Hampton guy was not at his desk so I told him to get Hampton to ring me back. When he didnt ring back that evening I got suspicious.I checked their website the next day and it was down tried ringing again all day but never got an answer. Then last Monday 30/06/2014 the phone was still ringing but no answer.Yesterday the phone has been cut off and its a digital phone box I got.I tried getting the name of the guy who owned the number but they wouldnt give it to me.

Same as you have numbers emails etc have given them to the fraud squad in England also asked them if they could get the name of the guy who rented the phone number.

Did you send money through Hong Kong?Is there any way of tracing it?

    F****n Scumbags

The Brock-Hartwick.com website was just created on 20-Jan-2014. It was created by Imola-Media.co.uk. Contact person is michael@imola-media.co.uk. I'm sure the authorities are following this lead but perhaps they may give you some info on the client. Hope you can recoup some of your losses.

Ya I saw that but I was approached last February and the FCA hadnt detected them at that time so there was no warnings on ant site. The research I did was all positive.

While it's terrible to hear of folks getting ripped off, it's a reminder to always ask for details of the providers regulation when entering discusssions on investing.

If they're UK based and not on the relevant register my advice is to simply cut contact.

All good advice, but in my case the outfit where a clone.
i.e when you researched both company and broker they were valid+++
    FCA code the lot.
Not sure how else bar meeting the guy and checking his actually ID(could be fake too I guess) could I have done much more. This was not your hotmail nigerian with an inheritance.
The brock hartwick deal stands out now but 4 months ago it was a very different story.
I hope this is a lesson.
The reason I tried to invest abroad is because this country is so crocked, where to now.
Under the pillow like many an ole man. I really hope they catch these guys, they truly are scum.

Ted, not to trivialise your circumstances in any way, but if I let the opportunity to make this joke go, i'd never live with myself.

Are you sure its not just resting in their account?

I agree with you Ted I have lost a lot of money by this well organised group who have stolen my future. As for the fraud squad either here or in England I hold little hope.I reported this scam as soon as I copped it still waiting for the fraud squad from England to contact me and contacted the Garda fraud squad 2 days ago still waiting.
