Has anyone bought a second hand golf buddy (platinum) and successfully re-registered to a new user name? Without this I cant download course updates etc. I have asked golf buddy for assistance but none forthcoming so far.

The faq section says it can only be done in certain circumstances but don't provide any details.

I tried doing mine the other day and it gave a US phone number to ring. I haven't done it yet but was thinking of doing it this evening. Will let you know how I get on.

Cheers, I was able to get it done over the phone.

They have an extremely efficient help line (Irish number, 4845651) -all they need is the serial number and they will un-register it (if that's a word!) from the previous owner so the next time you connect to your pc you can set it up under your account.

Brilliant, I forgot to ring so I will ring that number this evening.
