Recommendation for reasonable value cycle clothing?

My cycling commute has upped a gear, now doing almost 18km a day. Currently just have a pair of padding shorts and some non-cycling gym tops, but would like to have extra shorts and a couple of cycling jerseys to wear. But I have a child to send to college and no inclination to spend €60 each on these. Any recommendations appreciated?

Aldi or Lidl when they do specials or wait til they're low on stock and they reduce
the prices to next to nothing, I got me a cycling jersey last night for €4.99.
    Can't beat that

I've found swimcyclerun.com to be very good with amazing delivery. You could be looking at 30 or so per item for legit cycling gear.

Anything from Wiggles DHB range will be great value, comfortable and long lasting.

+1, just make sure you order a size bigger than you would normally wear

The Laoch cycling gear they sell in some Tesco branches looks decent enough, my wife has a pair of the mits and they seem superior to the similary priced lidl/Aldi ones.

Very true but even when I used to work right beside an Aldi I kept missing these offers; by the time I got in, nothing I wanted left. :) Must try harder....

Sportsworld (Heatons) have some good value on Karrimore gear. I got cycling shorts last week for a tenner. They do the trick and I'm cycling 12km each way per day. Admittedly they have a very small range though.

Sorry for jumping on this but does anyone know if the altura Jerseys etc are a true fit. I'm looking on line and the size guide says xl is 44in chest..

And don't forget to order your gear two months in advance.. last order I placed took three to be dispatched and another four weeks to be delivered.. top gear tho !!

Might wanna order those Christmas pressies now.

DHGate.com for me although its the slow boat from china delivery can take up to a month.

In saying that got a pair of tights and bib tights for 30 euro delivered! excellent quality

You obviously made the same mistake as I did when I first started shopping on aliexpress. I quickly learnt to look at how long the seller states the item would be shipped (can be found underneath the asking price in the ad). I usually go with sellers that can dispatch within 7 days. Such a practise can minimise the wait for delivery would be 3 or 4 weeks although I have gotten stuff after 2 weeks of ordering which is always an unexpected but welcome surprise.

TK Maxx is good for jerseys.

    +1 for DHB shorts.

Sportsworld do muddy fox shorts & full leg for about €9 & €13 respectivley, their selection of tops is a bit more limited, but is woth a look anytime your near by! I picked up a top for my sister in law for €25ish

Yeah they're true fitting so XL will fit you perfectly. I've 41/42 in chest and Altura size L is perfect size on me.

I'd recommend Altura any day. Very reasonable prices for great gear.

They have good quality bibs in medium in TKMaxx Stephens green. They seem to get Craft cycle stuff in fairly regularly so I'd say it might show up in other branches too.

I'm looking for a fluorescent yellow jacket myself and have been eyeing the Dare2B ones in Elverys the past week. €55 for the thicker one and €25 for the lightweight. Any opinions on these or better buys elsewhere?

Cheers for that, I bought a pair of bib shorts and shorts (altura) on line and the xl were fine, just worried about buying a XL in a jersey and it being smallish.

TK-Maxx at Stephens Green had a good selection of Craft and Polaris jerseys & shorts earlier this week. As usual it is bit odd selection of models and sizes but definitely worth checking out. Store at Blanchardstown also has some good stuff every now and then.
