Your style and your favourite/least favourite websites for clothes shopping?

What are your favourite websites for clothes shopping?

My style is quite grungey/quirky but also buy a lot of basic tank tops etc.

My favourite is Topshop.com- New stock every day, fast delivery, site is very easy to navigate and I find their sizing consistent for me at least.

Missguided.eu looks good but the stock looks a bit cheap so I have never actually bought anything, especially considering very similar stock is available in Catch etc.

    Not a fan of:

ASOS.com- Too much stuff and not enough ability to filter. Way too many search results are maternity wear and there is no way to filter it out- what % of women do they think are pregnant at any one time?!

My style is very mixed. I'm as happy in a 50s style dress as I am in my ripped skinnies and Cons. I love details in clothing so beading, stitching, necklines etc are what interest me most. I have a few go to colours I love to wear, black, grey and white. Sounds boring but grey can be so lovely in its various shades. White always looks crisp and fresh and black is just a great staple colour IMO.

ASOS is definitely my go to website. I love browsing the daily edit, seeing what's new and what trends are out there. Most trends don't appeal to me but sometimes there's a little something I might take from it. The wish list is great for tracking items you like but I agree that the new filters are rubbish. I don't want to see maternity or petite styles and these can sometimes take up 100s of items. ASOS are using couriers now for their deliveries even though postage us still free. Stuff I ordered on Wednesday was delivered Friday afternoon - that's amazing service.

I like Topshop too mainly because I can pay in sterling. The difference in price between the pound and euro is crazy. I tend to buy a lot of basic items from Topshop - my latest purchases were nude/pink heels and a white scallop edge skirt. Stuff I'll wear all summer long. I think the quality of the clothes is very good and lasts well.

I've never shopped on boohoo or missguided. Some of my friends have and I've heard quality and sizing can be hit and miss. I hate the hassle of online returns so this just puts me right off.

I would describe my style as girly but relaxed. I'm not overly girly though, my style icons would be Sienna Miller, Kate moss, blake lively, mollie king and Elle ferguson.
I absolutely love Topshop and would buy the whole shop if I could! My card takes a beating from there quite regularly. I also love zara and sometimes river Island although I find some of their clothes can look quite cheap sometimes. Never have bought from boohoo or misguided, their clothes just aren't my cup of tea.

My style would be quirky/vintage inspired. I love modcloth and ilovecarousel. Topshop is grand.

I agree with the poster that said that asos is too hard to filter. I've also had issues with urban outfitters.

My style is quite laid back, effortless and simple, i just love good basics. Not too keen on bright colours or loud patterns, i like to keep things minimalist and simple. I love Asos, Zara and Topshop.

ASOS is only free now for orders over €15, which isn't too bad!

This is me in a nutshell. Hourglass figure so 50s style dresses are very flattering, but a true comfort dresser a lot of the time so I end up in jeans and Cons a lot - including right now for work.

I rarely shop online because I'm a tricky fit - but when I do it's usually ordering things from M&S or Next that I can't find instore.

My style is totally mixed. I love anything gothic and quirky. My favourite website is www.hottopic.com but unfortunately they are hard to buy from between haveing to ring up to confirm your order (which can take ages and cost a lot) to getting charged customs! I love ebay for random buys - got a corset at a great price last week.

I find asos confusing, too much choice going on I get a bit overwhelmed.

Love forever21 - the €7 jeans - i live in these - nicest jeans I've ever owned and they cost €7 its mad?! :D

i gave up on boohoo as its so mixed - some stuff great some awful. Also gave up on misguided I bought a few pieces last year but the quality was atrocious really flimsy thin jersey fabric.

I really like the brandalley website as you can get great bargains on it and I use parcel motel with it so its cheaper.

If I do shop online it is mostly certain brands that are not in neighbourhood and cheap enough that I won't feel overly bad if the thing doesn't look fabulous but it is good enough to keep. I grew up under the influence of Italian style and I like simple stuff. I rarely wear any other jewellery except my engagement ring and simple almost masculine pianegonda necklace which I absolutely love. I don't wear many patterns (except loads of Bretton stripes) and really like black and white but I do add strong colours. I think my style is feminine but definitely not girly. My ultimate nightmare would be a wardrobe full of Avoca type clothing. :D

But you can? You can filter by colour, sleeve length, by style, by minimum or maximum price or by brand. At least you can for guys.

I doubt there is a Maternity filter in the menswear section because there certainly isn't in the women's.

You used to be able to just 'Hide' certain brands/styles by hovering over the image and clicking a button but for some reason ASOS got rid of this. Now if you want to exclude, say Maternity, you have to click a box for every other brand/style and leave this one unchecked. It's not great.

Yeah and if you want to only see certain brands, you have to select the ones you do want to see, rather than deselect the ones you don't want to see. Plus you have to know the names of the maternity-only brands and some aren't as obvious! Either way, it's a lot of work just to get decent search results.

Forgot to mention Moda In Pelle for shoes/boots- great site and the shoes are fantastic quality. I have 3 pairs of leather boots from them and they're still like new after months of wear.

Genuine question, has anyone emailed asos customer service about this? I find they're pretty good at responding and would look at issues that are stopping people from shopping on their site.
I think it's a bit unfair to complain when you haven't mentioned it to the person or company involved.
If people have let them know the issues and nothing was done then fair enough.
