Planning a week here in September vs October. Anybody able to recommend one town over the other? Leaning towards Como as while perhaps not quite as scenic is actually a town whereas Bellagio seems to be just a tourist resort.

    Any advice appreciated

bellagio is lovely but not sure what you would do for a week there, far nicer than como town itself though.

como does give you easy access to the ferries and the train direct to milan so if i was chosing a base it would be it but for a relaxing few days bellagio.

Both are nice. Bellagio is beautiful but it's small and we also found it a bit more expensive than Como. Just more choice eating wise etc in Como.

Como was alright. Bellagio was beautiful.

The entire area was spectacular to be honest.

Not enough to do in Bellagio for a full week. Beautiful place to stay for 1 or 2 nights. Como town although not as nice has far more going for it in terms of nightlife etc. Why not try Cernobbio which would offer the best of both worlds. All of the towns are accessible by sea taxis from Como, Bellagio and other towns.
