I started a new job last Monday after being out of work for quite some time. I have informed the tax office of my new employers and have received my tax free allowance cert from them. Revenue said that employer would get it electronically but was told today that they have not received it. I emailed a copy of my cert to the accountants who look after the salaries. Will that be enough or will I be put on emergency tax.

Make sure they have your PPS number at least, if you are on emergency tax you won't pay as much

I can't say if payroll will accept an email attachment

I sent the email from my work - my employer asked me to send it to them and they have my PPS number, will try and ring tax office tomorrow morning and see what the delay is - thanks for the replies.
