    Hi,

I'm reading that as part of the installation of eFibre, a new phone socket face plate is needed.

    Couple of questions.
    1) Can this be any phone socket in the house? The one I have closest to the door isn't suitable for a modem.
2)Can i still use a phone with the new socket?

    thanks.

    Hi JohnMagic

The location of the Phone Socket cannot be changed. However the modem can be moved up to 30 metres from the main socket by having some extra cabling laid between Socket and Modem. You can discuss this with the engineer when he comes to install the efibre.

You will able to use the Phone in the same way as you do at present.

    thanks
    Colm
