Improving Ping

I am quite happy with my internet as of now: /my-result/3559631151 (96MB Down / 19 Up / 11 Ping) - From what I have seen on Boards I seem to be lucky. I would like to know is there any way to improve latency when gaming? For example, if I am connected to a server I may have around 40 ping and a friend with UPC may have 35 or less.

    Don't use wireless, used wired.

After that no, its up to your isp, they're transit, time of day, the server location etc. Your only control is picking servers close by.

PS: your monitor adds between 20 and 50ms input lag, 5ms difference is trivial and won't give them an advantage.
