I hope someone can assist (as eircom can't :()

The LOS light on my HUAWEI terminal (that feeds into the modem) is flashing red and the Internet light on the modem is also red. I have restarted both units several times and no joy. Had a live support session with eircom but no luck then the engineer never showed up so it will be another 2/3 days before they can call out. No internet in 5 days ... anybody encounter this and have a solution please??

    Thank you.

If the ONT (huawei box) has a slow blinking RED LOS light then there is a fibre fault and it needs to be repaired. (one blink every two seconds) - this requires an engineer

If the LED is red and blinking quickly - then the OLT has disconnected it and eircom would need to reconfigure it (twice a second) - this can be fixed usually remotely
