Put together a build idea on US site, looking for Irish parts website

I'm in the market for a new desktop, and using that PC partpicker site I've put together what looks like a nice little (literally) desktop. Primary use would be gaming, maybe a little video editing.

Problem is that it grabs parts from US sites that don't all ship here.

I used Komplett years and years ago to build my first PC, but it looks like their range has shrunk. Under "Gaming desktops" it literally only has on option available.

    I was wondering

    (1) Does the rig look fit for purpose?
    (2) Where can I buy the parts for a reasonable price?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. What is your budget? [Unsure of this one, I'd obviously like to go as cheap as I can swing, but I've been due a new PC for years, so I don't mind spending a bit.]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming/Video editing

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I have a fair few old parts, I'm just not 100% sure if they'll still work with modern PCs: SATA HDS, DVD drive, Corsair CMPSU-520HX power supply, not the case though, the case is ridiculously large.

    5. Do you need a monitor? No

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

    8. How can you pay? However

    9. When are you purchasing? ASAP

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? South Dublin City

You can change your location on PC Part Picker to the UK or Germany (although they have very few German stores on it) from the drop down window in the top right. It's a handy site for doing up and saving parts lists, but I wouldn't really use it to tell me where to buy.

As for your proposed spec, have a looksee here. Most of the guys and gals here will steer you towards the best prices as they spec up a machine for you - likely to be on HardwareVersand, Computer Universe, Mind Factory etc, in conjunction with this price comparison website. That'll save you another few bob.

    Thanks.

    I edited the OP.

My previous PCs video card died, but I got that in 2007 (the entire PC) so I don't imagine much of that is salvageable other than some of the external hardware.

I don't want to reuse the case. It's ridiculously large, a little tiny one instead would be awesome.

I've used dabs4work.ie a fair bit over the last few years and found them pretty good. Possibly a bit cheaper than Komplett and slightly more expensive than hardwareversand.

Try computeruniverse.net built a few PCs with components from them and they've been brilliant. Shipping to Ireland for a full Pc including a Fractal r4 which isn't a small case was only €12 for the lot. Great customer service too.

If you're using Computer Universe make sure and select you are from UK in the top right corner. That will save you 4% on VAT. Have them deliver to parcel motel in NI to get UKs 19% VAT rate. €7.50 for an oversize parcel via parcel motel.

Depending on how much you're spending, it can save you a nice bit, I bought a pair of 290's and some other bits and pieces and save about €40.
