Fridge about to give up the ghost?

Our refrigerator is prone to ice buildup at the top of the fridge yet doesn't appear to be too cold. Milk tends to go off after about 4-5 days. The ice buildup seems to melt maybe once a day so that may explain the gone off milk and general not coldness. Is this symptomatic of the fridge being on its last legs? I'd say it's the original one with the house, so about 10 years old.

The door is a little dodgy. Its an integrated machine and needs to be closely firmly to stay shut. Is it straightforward to replace the seal?

The fridge is a fridge-freezer and the freezer is very cold. Do they share the same cooling mechanism?
