PLANNING SEARCH WITH PLANNING DEPT

    Hi, Currently buying a house in Kildare & looking for an architect to do a planning search with the planning dept. of Kildare Co. Council.

    Most local authorities Digital records will only go back about 10 years.
    In order to be certain you need to visit theoffices and check their paper records. Generally an architect will do this.
    It may mean ordering old planning files from storage which incurs a cost.

    At the end of the search the architect can give a cert of compliance if everything on site is kosher.

    ....or only 1 year in Cork Co. Co.! Which I found out yesterday while trying to do a search...a right pain in the **** when you're based in Dublin!
