Hi all, I am having an issue with my 16gb Sandisk Microsd adapter not being detected in my toshiba laptop. There is a noise when I insert and remove the adapter but it isnt detected in My Computer. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit if that helps, I am a total newbie to tech stuff. Any advice on what to do would be appreciated!

Go to Control Panel, Printers and Devices.

If you see an unidentified device, right click this and go to Properties > Change Configuration and look for updates. Install this and retry.

It may also be an unsupported format and so you may need to change it to FAT32 for example.

Thanks for your advice, however there are no unidentified devices when I do that. Any idea what I should do next? :-)

PUT the card , in your phone, is it detected normally.
Must be fat32 formatted card .

Buy a sdcard reader in dealz ,or poundworld ,
    cost 2 euro .
OR Plug reader into another pc or laptop .

my card reader work s for maybe 3 seconds in my laptop, windows 7.
    then stops working.
i,ll have to buy a new reader unit in dealz.
The readers in power city are trust brand ,10 euro
maybe better than the one in dealz .

Thanks for your help, the microsd works perfectly in my phone, except the photos that used to be saved on it are missing. What do you think I should do now?

USE photorec ,free program to get the photo,s back .
After you buy a 2 euro sd reader.
