I have an old boundary wall which is 120 ft long between my neighbour and me . The wall is 30 years or so old and was never even built well..

The mortar holding the wall together has come loose quite and bit and I've had to build some retainers in order to stop it falling over. its cheaper to do this than to build the wall fully again!

I plan this week to start repointing the wall to strengthen it.
was going to use premix mortar like this from homebase and i also bought a pointing tool online

    http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/multipurpose-mortar---grey---25kg-241717

is there anything else I could add to the mix to strengthen it more?

    Thanks
