I'm lucky enough to have moved into an area that has all suppliers. The previous residents had UPC installed and there is a sky dish. Also considering eircom. Broadband is my priority but want an overall package. Yearly contract is no problem. Any opinions appreciated. Thanks, Puz.

    Sky: Best tv, **** broadband
    UPC: Best Broadband, good tv
Eircom: Decent internet poor tv. (Assumes fibre area)

As all services are available in your area then UPC is the best option.

    http://www.upc.ie/bundles/tv-broadband-phone/

However check to confirm that UPC has a full service there with up to 200MB broadband speed (not all areas do). Alternatively as there is a Sky dish go with Sky for TV and get the broadband and phone from UPC. Sky has the interactive features that UPC do not (ie: the red button and games).

However steer clear of Eircom for TV. Their eVision TV service is not as stable as the others and does not have ITV in its lineup. However fibre broadband offers better upload speeds (nearly double that of UPC) and there is a choice of suppliers (Vodafone Magnet, Digiweb and yes Eircom).

Sky for their TV, a million times better than all the rest.

No arguments! Their UI is smooth and simplistic, they've all the channels, their On Demand is getting better and better! Etc.

I too live in an area where all or most services are available to me but I chose Vodafone Fibre over UPC as the extra 10Mb on the upload speed really makes a difference for me.

    I get 94/18 so I'm happy enough.

UPC's broadband is great so long as you don't have to ring up their "customer case".

Thanks for the advice guys. I went for UPC in the end. €32pm for everything for the first 6 months. So far so good.
