OK, I love a good ole impulsive buy when in Aldi/Lidl and when I saw their golf shoes for 24.99 I decided to pick up a pair (along with 2 golf polos too). They have a 3 hour waterproof guarantee, which I presume mean they'll keep you dry for 3 hours at a time rather than for the first 3 hours after you purchase them.
They come in white and black. The black ones are a awful looking but the white ones are OK. Played with them yest evening and tbh they're grand.

The polo shirts are very good and only 9.99 each. Sure where would you be going? :)

Aldi must be the new instigator versus slow play with the penalty being wet feet if you're out golfing for longer than 3 hours.

Whatever about your clubs, trolley, golf balls, rain gear, etc; penny pinch on them all if you must, but with shoes, pay extra and get a decent pair. Got a set of footjoys last year and I swear its like walking on air every time I play.

Ive played with guys who were crippled half way through a round. Not nice.

I've filled up the kids paddling pool (might as well before this water tax comes in ;) ) and told the missus to bring out the dinner in about 2 hours.

Will check in later to see if they hold up or not.

The black ones were bought for me and I've no problem with them. Wouldn't be seen dead in the white ones.

Ah well, each to their own and all that. Incidently in the 3 Aldi stores I went to to find my size, I easily saw 3 times as many black ones compared to white ones left so who knows.

I would agree with you. However, I intended to use these shoes as a backup pair really and for when I have to go out in the rain (as my trusty Dryjoys are letting in water). However they are perfectly comfortable, so far.

Bought a pair of these last year and they did not let in water during the winter. Will definitely buy another pair
