Will it have any impact on his next term?
    Probably not.

Strange suddenly becoming a skeptic of the very thing keeping him in clover/wheelchair lubricant, these past years.

do not forget that he is a politico, 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

He's a pretty rubbish FF man to be fair, the size of the FF logo has gotten smaller and smaller each election, and his posters are his own stylings, not the FF standard.

I'd say Martin would like to push him out if he could... Although how it would look to expel your only MEP is another question.

Probably the money has run out. Corporate sponsored liberalism is out of fashion? Thank God if it is.

This announcement must have rocked Irish and European politics to its core!

I wonder if his new grouping are aware that he is essentially a sick note? Come to think of it since his election to Europe is this the first time he has ever featured in a news story?

Well he comes across as very cocky, but doing this after the election instead of before the election, doesn't do himself any favours, very sure of himself becoming the next President, well I certainly would never vote for him.
What has he ever done, he seems to be only famous for being in a wheelchair, big deal.
He might be in for a shock when he goes before the people again, very sure of himself, but then again, like Bertie, ah he'll have the big fat pension to fall back on.
