Question about repeating and fees

    Morning all

Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, I find myself facing a repeat year. The only issue is, I cant afford to pay for this. I have been on BTEA, and I can get this payment for one repeat year, but it is the tuition fees that are killing me. Everywhere I look seems to tell me that I cannot get covered for repeat year fees.

My question is this, does anyone have any advice, or does my college future look bleak?

    Thanks

Unfortunately no, there's no type of funding available for tuition fees on a repeat year. Unless there were "exceptional circumstances" (medical issues usually), in which case you'll be able to apply to have free fees for the repeat year.

An option would be to take out a loan to cover it. You might be able to negotiate it so that you won't need to start making repayments for a few years. Think of it as an investment in your future.

The money spent on the loan will likely be insignificant when compared to the amount you'll be earning if you go on and finish the course.
