Hi I'm going to be moving to London in August and have found an apartment in clapham, the only problem is its unfunished. So I was wondering can people tell me is there anything like adverts over there? all I really found was gumtree and there wasn't much on it. So I was wondering can people tell me is there anything like adverts over there? all I really found was gumtree and there wasn't much on it. Or could you advise any shops to get stuff or is it just the standard DFS, Dreams, Ikea etc.

We want to get our beds new but don't mind buying sofa's, table etc 2nd hand.

I used find a paper called Loot quite good when I lived in London. They have a website now - http://loot.com/
There are quite a few secondhand furniture shops as well.

While I've not used them there's also http://www.preloved.co.uk/ for second hand stuff and http://uk.freecycle.org/region/London for free stuff if you can collect it.
