What about the watch from the Guinness Christmas ad?

Will have a longer think about it...

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I like the look of all of them - the Rodinas are cheaper, does that make them a bargain or worse than the Citizen quality wise?

Also there was a few other posts which seem to have disappeared...there was a Seagull watch which looked pretty tidy.

You wont get more minimalist than this watch! I bought one after seeing Peasant's pics.

What about an Orient, here's one with a power reserve meter on the dial for a little bit of detail. Japanese in house movement rather than a chinese movement

Comparing my Citizen NY2300 to my Seagulls I see little difference in quality, then again I'm only slightly more impressed by the Omega so maybe I'm a "it's all fine" kind of guy. The Russian Amphibia is a noticeable drop in quality from both my Citizen and Seagull though.

I think there are a few reviews of the Rodinas on watchuseek. People seem quite positive about them.

Ain't nothing wrong with an "in-house" Chinese movement (ST17/ST2130) I believe Rodina are OEM Seagull.

Have to say I love the look of this. Where's the best place to buy online?

Had a look at that other thread and saw a lovely Meistersinger someone posted - practically had my wallet out on a watch website before I saw the price

in white, but I presume they'll get the black one in soon. worth an email anyway. €205 incl delivery - but you might get stung for ~€20 Customs.

doesn't get more minimalist than this...

The Meistersingers are nice, you should Google 'Schauer Einzeiger' for some nice pics too

There should be a link to buy that watch if you click on the link I posted, I bought my Orient on long Island watch website, but if you buy from outside EU, you may end up with custom bill
