    Hi
I just bought a 2008 Honda Accord and the paint could do with a little bit of care and attention. I have seen some reports that Honda Paint is very thin so worried about it looking worse then when it was before i get it polished (machine polished)

Can anyone recommend someone and give me an idea of price? orlet me know if it is a bad idea or not to get it machine polished.

    Thanks
    Dave

If the detailer has a paint depth guage and knows what they are doing there is no problem machine polishing.

Priced will vary...depending on the amount of work/correction required.

+1 on what curran said. Jap paints have that reputation alright. Don't think there are any professional detailers in clare or limerick just a handful of valeters. Seriously doubt any of them would have the know how required (once had my gti parked outside one such garage and the valeters boss actually came over and asked me how did I get such a finish). Would you not attempt it yourself? It can be daunting but worthwhile. I've done loads of cars for work colleagues, friends etc and the easiest way is to start with your lightest compound/pad combination and work your way back after that ( after decon of course! )

not used them, and only seen them on here, but the pics look impressive, and i'm pretty sure these guys would consider themselves professionals

First time I've heard of them. Thanks for the jnfo. Yep they certainly look as if they know what they are about. Should be worth asking them for a quote anyway. Tailor the detail to exactly what the op wants.
