Shigeru Miyamoto Has A Question For All Of You

It seems that Shigeru Miyamoto wants Nintendo fans to tell him what games they want most. He may or may not have been serious when he said it, but it has gained a lot of attention regardless.
Either way, I recommend anybody that has a game that they would love to see on the Wii U to head over to Kotaku and add it into the comments, it seems to be too good an opportunity to pass up :).

Maybe when they wrap the comments up, they'll make a poll out of the most suggested games.. Who knows.

The game "Winning" with most votes at the moment is Majora's Mask.
Now, I love that game, but I don't want it to be the game that comes out on top of this opportunity. If this is, or becomes legit, I would much rather a number of different games ahead of that.

Shigeru Miyamoto Has A Question For All Of You

The man who made Mario and Zelda needs you to tell him something, Kotaku.
As I was concluding my interview with him at E3 last week, I asked if he had anything else he'd like Kotaku readers to know. Oh, he did. But he also wanted to know something that only you can answer.
Here's Miyamoto (with his question bolded for emphasis)...
Shigeru Miyamoto: So certainly, for Kotaku readers, they know there are a lot of different hardware platforms, and I hope that they look at those as necessarily a competition between all the platforms but really that each platform has its own uniqueness.
One of the uniquenesses of Wii U [is that] this is a device that's really suited to being connected to the TV in your living room, and it has a lot of very convenient applications that you can use there. We're going to continue to design our games in a way that are suited to play in the living room—whether it's one person playing and everyone enjoying that by watching—but we're also working on a number of additional games that we're designing and releasing next year as well. 89
We hope that everybody is looking forward to that and that we're designing experiences that you can only do on the Wii U GamePad so I hope everyone will support us and look forward to our products.10
Maybe you can do a poll for Kotaku readers to see which game you want us to make for Wii U, and, if you get a good answer, you can give us a call.

So much as a WiiU remake of Majoras Mask would be nice, I think we are far more likely to see it on the 3ds.
And, with my cynical hat on, is day they have a number of titles almost ready to be seen and this is a good way to see which one to focus on.
Imagine beta's of Metroid U, F Zero U and any of the other really big Nintendo franchises in active development, a vote like this is inevitably going to throw one of those up and they can trumpet the one they then spur on as "The People's Choice".

Me, I'd love to see a proper Pilotwings 64 follow up, not that Wuhu island crap from the 3DS game.

I want majoras mask, but not the on the Wii U. Plus it seems majoras mask may or may not already be under development by grezzo so. Metroid prime 4. Metroid dread. Pokemon colosseum 2. Pokemon snap U. F-zero U. HD mario sunshine? HD collection of Mario sunshine, mario galaxy, and Mario Galaxy 2?

Flogging a dead horse but how's about a HD collection of Resident Evil games, particularly the Remake and number 4, with better controls.

Maybe if they bought enough Capcom shares...

    That thread goes on forever..
I must have reached the bottom 30 times, and still never got there..

I counted the posts with over 100 votes only, but noticed one or two may have had over 100 added together (For example Kirby's dream course 47 + 30 + 37 = 114)

This is how I see the results so far.. (I'm not sure if I have counted all of the posts correctly)
I put the highest votes per single post votes in red, as the same people may have voted again in the 2nd and 3rd posts.
    1. 2D or 3D Metroid - 843
    2. Metroid Prime 4 - 683 + 156 + 243 = 1042
    3. Majora's Mask - 622
    4. Megaman Legends 3 - 595
    5. F-Zero - 580
    6. Pokemon Snap - 350 + 198 = 548
    7. Starcraft/Command & Conquer Type Game - 202
    8. Eternal Darkness - 137
    9. Gotcha Force - 103
    10. Blast Corps - 67 + 35 = 102

Minecraft got a few votes, but that has it's own campaign going to port that over for the Wii U. - Click Here to sign the Petition

You know if its only games then Metroid but the one thing Id love to be able to do with my Wii U is play fecking movies off the hard drive.Or even play a DVD or Blu ray.

How about XBMC for the wii u?Now that would be a killer app.

Its the only thing that's stopping the Wii U from being the all encompassing media device here.

At the minute under my TV I have
    1.Blu ray player
2.HTPC for Netflix and xbmc and ripped movies.
Although I do use the Wii U for Netflix.
    3.Wii U.
    4.Sky box.

I could get rid of 2 of them devices if the wii u was more media friendly.

I was messing about the other day, and tried to watch a Movie on it. That was the first time I tried and realised it wasn't possible..
I browsed to a few of the (unscrupulous) streaming sites and found it wasn't possible to watch them either .

I did see that a few months ago there were some "Wii U Movies sites" available, but they all seem to be blocked now.
Pity you can't even cast to it.

Perhaps an app to allow you to 'cast to the WiiU would be cool.
But Metroid Prime 4 would make me buy the WiiU, if I didn't already own one!
What about a Skyrim sized adventure for Samus?
Who knows where Shigsy is taking us, but I'm sure glad I have the console to take me along with him.

And I just want to repeat a vote for a Virtual Boy series on the VC of the 3DS, you know it makes sense!

Have I mentioned getting Zero Mission on the VC? Because I really want Zero Mission on the VC. Why isn't Zero Mission on the VC?

So, let me get this straight.
You want Metroid Zero Mission on the VC?
I'm guessing here because you're being a bit vague there.

Coincidence, but I just discovered it popped up on the NTSC-J Wii-U VC just 4 days back. This is a good sign, right?

Edit: Nintendo got back to me, a PAL release is not a-coming anytime soon.
Thank you for your email regarding Metroid: Zero Mission.

With regard to this title, unfortunately we do not currently have any plans to release this product within Europe. If this should change in the future, then release dates and product information are typically announced on our official website, which can be visited at the following address:

Animal Crossing WiiU? Or is that asking a bit much?

Animal Crossing WiiU? Or is that asking a bit much?

I think that one is as inevitable as day following night.
The possibilities for designing your own stuff are endless and the online nature of the WiiU means it will be easier than ever to go a visiting.
Perhaps a spot of Dark Souls 2 invading worlds, but with flowers and cake.
