Android Whatsapp push

    Hi, my mother has a new Huawei android phone but is not getting her push notifications when people send her a Whatsapp message. My sister has tried to reinstall it to no avail.

    I'm wondering if her push notification for the whole phone is turned off.

    I have searched online for instructions to turn it on but to no avail.

    As I live so far away, I can't have a tinker myself so would appreciate it if anyone can advise what they think the issue is and the menu steps to fix it.

    Not too familiar with Whatsapp but try going to Settings-Wireless & Networks-More-Data Usage, press the menu button and on the pop up menu make sure the "Restrict Background Data" button is unchecked. My phone is the Huawei Y300 so I presume it should be similar. I use other apps that will sync throughout the day and have no problems with them, Good luck.
