Someone clipped my car bumper...

Today whilst parked , someone clipped my car bumper. There are paint marks left on it. (Seem quite dark even though it was a silver car..?) Anyway, I was sitting in the car at the time. After she clipped it , she floored it out of the car park. I got her reg. Is there any point doing anything about it? The marks can probably be removed. I haven't had a proper look for more damage but what's bugging me is how disrespectful she was. She must realised what she did yet drove off. I'm more annoyed than anything at the moment at her disrespect for other people's property...

Thanks for listening to my rant!

    Call the guards?

Same thing happened to us a few months ago - we reported it to the Guards but didn't have the full reg. They never gave the impression we were wasting their time, they did investigate it but couldn't narrow it down from the partial reg we had. I'd say if you had the full reg they'll definitely contact her

Report her to your insurance company..they should be able to track her down

If you report it to the cops, they will call to get her insurance detail, weather you make a claim is up to you but at least that would give her a deserved fright

Go for it, give the cops her reg. Grind that bitch into the ground

Definitely call the cops, it doesn't matter how much damage was done, she was willing to leave you needing a respray for all she knew, so I wouldn't be doing her any favours. Even if it buffs out, get it done in a body shop and send her the bill

Call the cops and report it, a similar thing happened me lately but the girl left her details which was decent so I sorted it out myself.

OP stick the reg in here and see if it has tax and nct. If nothing else it'll give you an idea what you're dealing with

I have gone camera mad these days. Go pro on the bike and a dash cam in the car off ebay. If it senses movement when your parked it kicks in......might have helped for the op if s/he had one......i think they r brill.
