Fitment of sram cassette to shimano hub?

    Quick, and possibly stupid question:

I am fitting a 10 speed sram cassette to a 10 speed shimano hub. Everything fits together fine, but the sprockets are still very loose, with lateral movement when the locknut is tight. Do I need a separate spacer?

Cassette is PG1050 10, wheel is aksium race.

How old are the akisiums? If they're 11 speed compatible you need a spacer should have come with the wheels. Any chance it's stuck to the old cassete.

These are the wheels. I got no spacer with them.

Edit: on looking at the ad, brayblue seems to have spacers.

    Mavic use a spacer:- http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ie/en/mavic-cassette-spacer/rp-prod25399

It would have been with the wheel when new.

Hopefully he still has it! Probably wants the other €20 for it!

I'm sure some one around here who has moved to 11 speed can sort you out with one

Was trying to find the part

    This explains the spacers required

Looks like you just need the 1.75mm mavic spacer with a shimano cassete you'd need that and a 1mm spacer
