    Hi,
I have to organise a 6th birthday party on a weekend but cannot use the house. We feel go Kids Go is usually just too packed at the weekend for our liking. Does anyone have any other local suggestions. Any experience of the Leisureplex play area? other alternatives welcome.
    Thanks

How about one of the community centres? You can bring food and play games?

Mulhuddart Community Centre and Tyrellstown do kids parties.

its close by if you can drive, but possibly not ideal for kids that age, and pricey, but the jumpzone is good.

Jumpzone looks interesting all right but they may be a bit young. have you been to a party there, is there much variety in the play area? - An hour and a half of trampoline seems a bit much.

My daughter went to a pizza-making party in La Bucca in Dunboyne and it went down a treat with everyone - http://www.labucca.ie/kids-pizza-makin-parties/

The Little Gym in Liffey Valley is also a great spot for a party: http://www.thelittlegym.eu/ie-en/awesome-birthday-bash

Kids cook in Clonee Village is great - two hours where kids get to cook pizzas and then their desserts and cupcakes and chocolate fountains and then get to eat it all...

    Leisure plex is good.
Community centre and hire an entertainer or sports / dance instructor. Apparently the FAI do some?
Little Gym in Liffey Valley (need to drive)
Build a bear workshop in the centre.
    Cinema
    Bowling
    Park?

Milanos at blanchardstown sc do pizza making parties. Build a bear would suit a 6 year old.

Blakestown Community center can also be hired for birthday parties.

Leisureplex funzone is much better than gokidsgo- can be mad busy on weekend, but can also do bowling and think still do a pottery party workshop in there too for parties
Fort Lucan ten min drive from blanch
Fun galaxy in ashbourne- 20 min drive from blanch, big play centre reasonable price and adults have fun running around too
Zoo, cinema, aquatic centre all good but can work out expensive

have seen friends hiring out community halls as mentioned and getting lot cheap entertainment in, and bring own food so works out cheaper

Some of the farms around are great fun, but a little more driving needed
or could always go out to park or beach have picnic and some fun cheap easy games or treasure hunts, scavenger hunts etc:

Humble apologies, had missed the OP as I entered the thread through the most recent post function on the front page....

Thanks for all the great suggestions, we went with the leisureplex as it suited best on this occasion but this thread will no doubt be used again for ideas.
