07 1.4 petrol focus So, car drove to school today no problem. Wouldn't start when time to leave.
What do I know, battery good. Immobiliser light not going nuts power to starter.
But it won't start on a tow start. I have heard of berlingo vans having the same problem that if starter is gone they just won't go.
Its a new one on me. Can anyone confirm or deny this
    Thanks

Did you try jump starting it if you did check the fuses in the engine compartment fuse box especially the little three amp.

Other than that is your instrument cluster acting up at all ??

Car will usually go no problem on a push if starter motor is gone. Is the car turning over when you try to start it?

Immobiliser issue usually. Either not picking up the key or key has lost it's code. Ford dealer, €80 fix, usually..

Hmm must be losing it, no power to starter after all. Fuses under bonnet check good, fuses on gem module check good.
My logic although probably flawed is something that is stopping both power to starter and no spark/ignition
Immobiliser? But no flashing led acts as should. Picking up key as display says no key detected if the key absent.
    I hate electrics

Starter relay in engine junction box not sure which one but ill have a look tomorrow its a fairly simple starting system that doesnt give much trouble.

Its marked on the fuse box start? Anyway I can test with a multimeter. Would that also prevent it going on a tow?
