Hitachi Ex120-5

    Been looking at a Hitachi Ex120-5 for sale having spoke with seller
    he said machine is perfect apart from 2 issues

    (1) Oil leak from engine
    (2) Needs pins & bushes re-done

    Anyone know what it would cost to have following work carried out?

    Planning to buy a machine for self build but need it to be on the button as cant really
    afford to waste money on something thats gonna give trouble and I,ll also want to sell
    it on in a years time when the build is complete.

    On the first, get someone to check it out for you in the metal and on the second, they all say that.

    The oil leak could be minor, easily fixed, or a major bill to sort. The second will need line boring and re-bushing. If the pins and bushings are worn, check that everything else isn't as well. A worn out slew ring/pin/motor could start getting very spendy. If it is leaking oil, and they usually don't, the servicing was probably infrequent, the work hard and the care little. The worn pins and bushings point to the same thing..
