Hi all - I'm thinking about drylining the external walls of my house for heat insulation. Old victorial house built in 1890s and external walls are red brick with lime plaster inside. I know that these walls need to breathe (or something, sorry!) and I'm wondering if I dry line them will I enter a World of pain with damp / other issues? The walls I'm looking at are on the 2nd floor (not sure if this makes a difference).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Research suitable insulations like calcium silicate boards, wood fibre, hemplime etc
Personally I'd stay away from standard drylining systems
