A decoy not always effective

    I find decoys can often attract birds in, as they perceive there to be something of interest in a safe location if another bird is there.

    I know of a few conservation projects that have used decoys to attract birds, and I'm pretty sure hunting groups use duck decoys to attract Mallard to certain ponds etc too!

    Still - a nice bird to add to your garden list! :P

    That git cleared my pond out some years ago. Now covered with a net, though some fish have gone missing. Welcome he is not, but would not see it come to any harm. Its a peaceful war.
