Just booked flights for 2 weeks in December for us both.

We are thinking of splitting it up-1 week in Puerto De La Cruz area and a week in the Los Americas area. Neither are set in gold, we would just like to see both sides of the Island.

We stayed in Golf De Sur last year and it was lovely and quiet, done a circuit of the Island which is why we are thinking of a week on the other side.

We have done the all-in thing for a few times now and are pretty happy with it so will continue with it on this trip.

Any suggestions as to decent hotels you may have been to?

Yes I think there is a small difference plus its more likely to rain up there-Still though it's a beautiful area and would like at least a few days there.

My wife and I stayed in Puerto de La Cruz two years ago over the Christmas week. The weather was wonderful but the ocean was a bit rough. There were very few tourists from Ireland or the UK from what I can tell - many Germans and Scandinavians - and you can consider that a positive or negative as you like.

We stayed in Apartamentos Casablanca which was fine enough. Up the hill from town so peaceful and has parking. If you haven't visited before, definitely visit La Orotava for a day trip. I also recommend La Regulo restaurant in Puerto del La Cruz for a nice dinner. Enjoy!
