Why do the employees have to be so agressive

    I'm on job seekers and I'm genuinely looking for a job for the past few months , last payment I was told I had to go into the office to get a temp card because mine wasn't scanning in the post office (I've had the card for 10 years) . I went in today and explained then she said my account was suspended because I failed to post back my am mended p45 which I genuinely forgot to do . She basically accused me of working . Asked me why I hadn't picked up my payment on Friday , because I was out handing cvs all day ... Then she asked why I didn't collect it yesterday ... Because my card doesn't work and I had no transport . The form was a p45... One that they already have ... I left the building feeling guilty ... And there is no way I should have to feel that way . This is really getting frustrating at this stage. I do understand that some people might take advantage of the system but there are genuine people like me that have been looking for work and it's a disgrace that they make us feel like that.

    If they see telltale signs of someone working then they need to probe with questions. It's just how it works.

    If they didn't ask anyone then how would they ever find out if someone was fiddling the system?

    1. If your card isnt scanning in the post office you dont need to get a new card or temporary card as your ppsn can be inputed manually.
    2. You should always pick up your payment because if your payment expires it takes 3 weeks to be returned to sw and you will be questioned as to why you couldnt collect it. You need to stagger handing out cvs so that you can collect your payment.
    3. The person you were dealing with couldnt know that you didnt have transport yesterday.
    4. With regard to amended p45 perhaps they dont have the amended p45. Maybe the have the unamended.
