Ipod Touch 5th Gen Screen Change

    Hello,
    I was replacing a IPod Touch 5th Gen Lcd and digitizer. But when I turned it back on the the screen worked perfectly. But the time and date was reset. Also so was the passcode. As this is not me ipod Touch I'm not to sure what I can do in this situation any help would be greatful

    The owner should know the passcode?

    Sorry forgot to add, yes they did give me the password they had set but since then it has been altered some how
