Cloned SSD Blank Screen

I recently cloned my Windows partition including the system recovery partition to my new Crucial SSD but when booting from it I get the blank screen with blinking cursor.

Does anyone know a fix for this, I've done a fair amount of googling but all suggestions come up short. TBH the whole process has been a real pain so I am close to reverting to a fresh install.

    Cheers

If you arent getting a "no-os" message that means the bootloader is partially working. Thatd suggest the MBR or something in the boot sequence is corrupt.

Generally its advisable not to clone your mechanical drive onto an SSD, do the fresh install.

Essentially it sounds like your MBR is missing or corrupt.

A fresh OS install is recommended then restore a backup which should return your files.
