I have a B licence and want to drive a van.
On the plate inside the van there are 4 figures.

    The first is 5500
    The second is 3500
    Then there is 1....2200
    and 2..... some other figure.

Can someone explain what it is I am looking at?

    Train weight? 5500
    Gross weight? 3500
    Axle weight 1? 2200
    Axle weight 2?

I dunno. What type of van is it? Take a photo of the plate and upload it...

The train weight is the grand total of the hgv and its trailer. The gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), or gross vehicle mass (GVM) is the maximum operating weight/mass of a vehicle as specified by the manufacturer[1] including the vehicle's chassis, body, engine, engine fluids, fuel, accessories, driver, passengers and cargo and that should be max 3500 kg for B licence.
Is that the 5500 or the 3500? Photo to follow. http://imgur.com/dVxLBdY dVxLBdY Similar plate but different weights.
