    Hey,
I'm looking into buying a sim free s5 at the moment.
I applied online for it on bill pay with Meteor but the assholes wanted a €300 deposit, €199 for the phone and a month or two's bill which for me the bill was going to be €59 per bill.

I figure I'm better off going the sim free option since Meteor want all that up front.
I'm aware I would get the €300 back but that's after 6 months and I don't have that kinda money just sitting in my account.

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy it sim free?
It wont be till next month to give me time to save but I'm just looking for reputable places I could buy from and maybe a decent price.

    Thanks.

a €300 deposit really? that's crazy, when I done it I just needed €1 in my account so they could charge it to verify my account details as they said.

A large amount of english language students are getting top of the range smart phones for next to nothing, by taking out long contracts. But then they go to their home country, without fully going through with their contract. The phone company has lost a ton of money, by selling their phone at loss.

OP I would buy the phone from Amazon uk or Amazon.de can often be a lot cheaper for electronics.

I guess it's more understandable now if that's what was going on.
do you have to pay that deposit every time you upgrade and enter a new contract now?
