Help!!! Cant get the hang of it at all! The driving instructor confuses the life out of me, he talks too fast and uses terms that dont make any sense to me and he gets angered very easily and raises his voice which doesnt help my confidence behind the wheel!
I Have my theory test done and passed with flying colors, now im getting lessons to learn to actually drive the car.

I put it down to being a learner and thought maybe after a few lessons it would come to me, but it is definately the instructor making me nervous and stopping me from picking up simple things, and now I cant afford to pay for a different instructor at the moment and I feel its a waste of time going to him!!

After so much money paid I still dont have a grip on the basics to literally move the car!!!!

First advice would be - not to pay for a block of lessons until you get to know your instructor, preferably get a recommendation for an instructor before making any commitments. If you ask nicely he may refund your money!

Learning to drive in Ireland is a lot like learning to fly in the US, the one with the money calls the shots. If im not comfortable with a flight instructor they get the boot and I find another one.

    Doubt he'd give a refund

Yeah that’s a tuff situation, have you tried conveying your feeling to the instructor? I think they need to be told exactly what you typed in your original question

Hi there... Choosing an ADI is tough decision... You pay lots of money for the lessons and u expect lets say someone whos an expert in his proffesion...I know everyone isdifferent, some of learners catch quicker than others but that shouldnt b an issue for ADI.. Remember that ANYTIME u can change your instructor...RSA says that, every instructor knows that...This is your decision and he should not have any issue with refunding your money if u decide to change him...unless u accepted his terms&cond on his website while paying for lessons and they state different...Talk to him...tell him what u think and what u expect.. If he doesnt change his attitude then change him...
