Hi there, I'm refilling in my application. However, I am changing courses. Everything is going ok however I am applying for 2 courses, yet I can't seem to fill that in on my renewal form...
What should I do? Is it possible to apply for 2 courses? What I mean is that I don't know which one I'm going in to yet. Just need to know so I can fill out my application. Thanks.

Why are you renewing if you're changing course? Are you progressing to an add-on course or something?
If not, and you're starting a new course from year 1 you won't be eligible for a grant, for the equivalent time in your previous course at least. You'll also be liable for tuition fees.

Tuition fees in this case won't be covered by the Free Fees scheme, so you'll be paying the €5k or so yourself.

Unfortunately no, you cannot get maintenance for any year of a course that you've already attempted/completed at that level.

well heres the thing, it's not at the same level, i went from a level 8 in architectural stecgnology to a level 5 in game design. that's why im not worried about the fees, they were only 420 euro.

In cases where you're changing level, you can only get a grant where you're "progressing" i.e. moving up in level. This only applies where the course at the previous level was completed, not just attempted.
In your case you're moving down, (for I assume a 1 year course) and so will not be eligible for maintenance.

The one big exception to all this is if 5 years have passed since your previous course, and you did not complete that course. In that case you'd be a second chance student and would essentially be starting off re-eligible for everything again.
