All discussion and questions about the French paper goes here, following the exam. Please do not post predictions or discussion here before the exam.

Out 10 minutes already! Comps were grand, so was the postcard and I probs made a few mistakes in my letter but happy over all listening wasn't perfect tho

Yeah they give us way too much time for that exam! Everyone in my centre had left by 10 past 11 :P

Felt the listening was hard and the snow on the mountains bit for the writing but everything else was easy enough

What did the guy want to do next? I said launch a new furniture line because 'meuble' is furniture but that just seems like the randomest thing ever...

I thought it was okay, listening was hard, few of the comprehensions were aswell and thought the postcard was awkward but i attempted all questions so hopefully I'll even scrape a C

Finished at 10:35..don't even think I did that well if I'm being honest.

On the very first section in the aural, what way did the answers go?

I wrote something about furniture too. Seems odd but at least we got the same answer

I just said have a clothing line because didn't think anyone had a furniture line.

I think it was a clothing line, he aside mode (fashion) and then about vetemens femmes, so I presume it was women's clothing

Worst nightmare realised, alone with the superintendent
Listening was pretty easy except for a few questions.
First few reading comps were grand but some difficult questions in the last few comps.
Postcard was mostly okay and the letter was just okay. Overall, perhaps a bit better than the mocks and i got an A in the mock so i think I did quite well!

Yeah.
German takes a little longer to do, though because the letters require a lot more effort.
French should probably be 2h with German 2h30.

I don't do German, so I wouldn't know. One European language is bad enough!!

Did anybody else find the postcard slightly awkward and difficult? Seeing as my teacher never went through anything like that in the exam I just had to thank my lucky stars I went over skiing vocab yesterday!

French was grand...definitely too long at 2.5hrs though!
I think the man's job was carpenter...it only clicked with me at lunchtime though! I said charcoal maker :rolleyes:

Letter was grand too...less random than last year anyway!

Ah, yeah, you's are definitely write, I didn't have a clue what was going on so just kept swapping and changing between that and borrowing something.
Knowing me, I could've changed it at the end, genuinely don't remember, I know I changed it 5-6 times.

Was out at 11 for higher level. I did the comps in about 10 minutes, by the time listening was done it was 10 past 10 and just spent a while doing letters. Think I got an A off of listening and reading and did an alright job at the letter.

Anybody here actually stay for the full 2 1/2 hours:o If I'm honest I needed every bit of it.

Quite honestly, I'm mildly disappointed with the tape. Second speaker in part B, the stuff about the exam in part D, and the part about "what's going on in France tomorrow" in Part E blew me away, hadn't a clue.

Delighted with the comprehensions except parts of Robin Hood person, and written was ok as well except I didn't know what the French for snow was.

I just said "The mountains are white because the weather is cold. They are nice:D".
