Hey folks, does anyone know the cost of installing a new water tank in the attic and moving its location about 3 - 4m. The attic is fairly cramped and I'd imagine the old tank would stay up there.

I've been quoted nearly €700 ex vat. This is in the Dublin area.

My sister in Dublin got her tank replaced about 3 years ago and it cost €340. But if you are moving yours a couple of metres expect to pay another 100 - 120 or so for extra piping and joints together with support for the tank.

€700 + vat is a complete rip off. I got mine replaced only last Thursday and it cost €160 but then again Im in Donegal so it's considerably cheaper.

Shop around and look for recommendations from neighbours, family and friends.

Think Muffler is right 700 plus vat a complete rip off I would normally charge around 350 plus the vat but again would need to see the job but hope that gives you a more realistic price to work with

€350 / €400 plus vat is a good guide. €700 is a rip & I'd stay well away from him
