My question is in regard to the psychology undergrad degree? I was just wondering if I put it first and get the points required (500 last year) what is the likelihood of me receiving a place in this course?

If you get over the required points, you're guaranteed a place. If you get the minimum points then it depends on how many other people have that same number of points and how many places are left on the course - it's usually decided by random selection in this case.

As with all courses though, points are determined based on what everyone who applied for the course got. So it's impossible to know what the points will be from one year to a next - the previous year's minimum is just a guide. The last person to get on the course next year could well have 580 points or 380 points, there's no way to know.

Best advice is to aim as high as possible, study hard and just keep your fingers crossed :)
