Hi, no this has been asked before but just wondering if anyone around 6'1 is riding a 58cube agree? How does it feel, is size ok? Im just over 6'1 and thinking of 58 cube but wondering if it will be too small.

    Thanks

I'm 6'3 and have a 60 cube which is probably a bit on the small size for me.

I'm 6'1 and have a 62cm peleton race!! Probably too big for me, but would guess that a 58 would be too small.

I'm 5'11 and I used to ride a 58cm Cube Agree. It was ridiculously small - I had to buy an extra long seat post just to get the saddle high enough. Riding a 58cm Cannondale now (theoretically the same size), which looks massive next to the Cube. Cube seems to run seriously small

I have a 58 cube agree pro and im just under 6' 1'' , found it a bit uncomfortable at first but then had it fitted in shop i bought it form and they changed stem to a shorter one and haven't looked back since

I'm 6' 1 and my cube is a 58 and it fits grand. I bought a similar sized Boardman (Large) and it took me ages to get the fit to be comfortable.
I did get the Cube fitted whereas I just copied measurements onto the Boardman. I never thought of the Cube being small, I just thought the Boardman was big.

I'm 5'10.5" and have a cube 58, fits great, i have short legs and longer upper body. I tried a 56 and was way too cramped, didn't try a 60 though, but 58 fits well. Go to a bike shop and ride both 58 and 60 and see what best suits you

    Thanks all,

kinda guessed there would be a mixture of answers. Taking height as a guide I should be after a 60-62 frame but using leg measurement calculation on cube website I'm just under a 56, and I don't have short legs. Guess I'll have to ride a 58 to see but was told by bike shop in email that 58 would do, they same size as me and that's what they ride!!! How very convenient.

Was looking at this mysely as my brother in law was sold a size 56 cube gtc pro race (€2.5 k,), but only measures up 520 mm centre to centre on the seat tube which is way to small for him as he is 6' tall. There is definitely something wrong with the way they size their frames as they seem to come up a size smaller than most of the other manafacturers. Needless to say the Bro in law was not happy and pretty lousy of the shop who sold it to him.

I'd be blaming the bike shop rather than cube, cube make the bikes they don't fit the customer, it's fairly common knowledge they size small, any fella selling cubes should know this

I have a 58cm Cube GTC pro race and was told they are a smaller fit, at least 2cm. They measure slightly different then standard.

58cm is more like a 56cm (I have a 56cm trek ). Try calling resolve bike shop in Gorey as they supply Cube and Peter was quite helpful explaining the Cube set up etc..

I agree but from as far as I can see cube are the only manafacturers who measure them like this but essentially the shop was to blame.

Every manufacturer tends to size a bit different, I have a dolan that is a 50 that is really a 54 when I bought the frame I had to tell the salesman it was a sloping top tube on it so it was sized different, he was saying I needed a 54 which would have been a 58 if I'd bought what he was saying it won't have fitted right, it pays to research sizing tho especially if a fella is landing out big money on a bike, it's funny how ud see nearly new bikes and frames for sale because of a sizing issue

Well there is a possibility that the cube i refered to will be stripped for a rebuild onto a new frame or sold on. I would always look at the centre to centre seat tube measurement as it is a figure that can be compared if you are looking at buying, the effective height which is reffered to generally in specifications is only a notional figure, nothing new about this though as sloping top tubes came into bike design in the late eightys early ninetys on mtbs I think giant were one of the first to produce Road bikes with sloping frame geometry maybe in the mid nineties.

It's a shame it's not a good fit coz cubes are a lovely bike, i am building up a couple of them at the moment with a view of selling them on. i presume u have looked at changing the stem length or try ing set back seat posts to see if it can be a better fit? Might be an option
