If it's not going to surprise you then how would it be a surprise?

The French riders made the Irish lads look like novices there.

I knew someone was going to say that. Gemix is slow as a boat I wouldn't use the beating of him over an inadequate trip to boost his form

Valid point but it was an inadequate trip for UDS too.

I wouldn't think that Gemix, rated 165 is as slow as a boat. He has won two French Champion Hurdles, beating the likes of Solwhit. Granted he flopped in the Relkeel but he needs juice in the ground.

Un De Sceaux had everyone running scared last season, he's already rated 161 and who knows how far he will go. He has a massive engine on him, hurdles fluently and I think he is the most exciting horse trained in Ireland since Hurricane Fly and that includes the ill-fated Our Conor.

    He will take some stopping.

The French champion hurdle over three and a quarter miles. Just because he is rated high doesn't make him quick he is an out and out stayer

Fair point, Gemix has won several times over 2m2f but never won anything over hurdles on ground better than Soft. We will never see him racing in the UK/Ireland again I would think, he will just mop them up in France.

No don't think he travelled well. Looking forward to finally see Un de Sceaux against the proper two milers though we'll see how good he really is
