Hoping for some quick advise. Before starting painting I covered all the new window's, did the surround with masking tape and painted 3 coats over the last week. The problem, removed the masking and its left a residue. Anyone know a good way to remove masking tape residue from Aluclad. I've used soapy water and industrial cleaner wipes from b@q but no good. Any tips? Can I use white spirits on aluclad ?

Jizer works well for residue - test on small area first

Try Acetone (Nail Polish Remover), worked for me.
But as advised above, try in a discreet area first.

Sticky Stuff Remover works great on all sticky residue. It's available in aldi a couple of times a year or on amazon

I read somewhere else on here that mayonnaise and olive oil work well too but haven't had to use it myself yet.

Get a fresh bit of masking tape and use it to pull off the sticky residue.

Thanks for all the replies.. Tried the masking tape over residue and old bit of tape that failed to come off but it did'nt work.. White spirit on a cloth and a little bit of elbow grease sorted it out.. Washed down the window after that and ran the power washer on the windows and walls to ensure it was well watered down..
