Volvo V50 fan noise

    Hi,

    I've a 06 V50 1.6 Petrol. In the last few weeks I've noticed that there is a loud fan noise coming from the front of engine when I turn off car after a journey.

    This has only started recently. A quick Google point at a bust thermostat or a dirty MAF sensor.

    Anybody have a similar problem before?

    I have this problem on same car,car is loosing power intermittently ,waiting for full report from main dealer as system is requesting a regenertaion of DPF but mangmt system of car wont allow it to happen

    Mine is a petrol. Just turned out to be a tad low on oil. Topped up and been fine since.
