I came across these watches today, they are about a grand a piece. Thought the white one was quite fresh and unique. What are peoples opinion on them?! I've been looking online but cant seem to find many details about them.

Here's my latest watch that most of you will hate! It's a SevenFriday P2-2.

It has a whopping 47mm case, but as the 28mm strap attaches directly to the case without lugs, it wears a little bit smaller. Photos also make it look a little bigger too.

The build quality is very good across the board, and it's surprisingly readable. The exposed balance wheel and rotating seconds dial are a nice touch.

The crown (not screw-down unfortunately) doesn't stick out that much, so it doesn't dig into my hand and it's quite comfortable to wear. The strap is leather but has a slight rubber look and feel to it.

Build quality and innovation/originality aside, it's hard not to feel like it looks like a fashion watch you'd pick up in a clothes shop.

Not a huge amount to add since I posted that.

I wore it for about a week solid since getting it, and had to stare a few times to tell the time; which shouldn't really need to happen with a watch that size. But I still think it's a great watch - very comfortable, despite the size. For better or worse, it's pretty unique and very well built.

There's no getting away from the size; while it feels like it wears a little bit smaller than photos suggest, it's still 47mm across. That'd be big for a round watch, let alone a square one.

Here's a couple of reviews by people who know a lot more about watches than I: http://wornandwound.com/2012/12/05/sevenfriday-pr1-review/

Cheers Eoin, I watched the videos and I must say I'm impressed with the watch.
I'm going to try one on next sat in the city and see how the size feels as 47 mm sounds huge. The one line from your review that puts me off is:

That might have been a bit harsh. All I really meant is that usually when you see an oversized watch with unusual dial layouts etc, it's the likes of a diesel watch. The finish and detail is unmistakably very good when you see it in real life.

Did you try one on yet? I've been wearing mine again, and I still think it's great. But another thing - no lume whatsoever.

They probably wanted the (small) hands to look as metallic as possible, but I can't help but think that they missed a trick to come up with some sort of unusual design with the lume.

So, anyway - yes, there is lots of compromising while wearing it - but still pretty cool.
