Stacker/destacker + combiner

Hi,

Could anyone tell me if this would work

"Stacking" two sat feeds down one cable using a global stacker/destacker

Combining that stacked sat cable with a saorview feed using sat/uhf combiner

The one existing cable would carry two stacked sat signals and the saorview signal

At the other end the sat/uhf signals would be de-combined with a sat/uhf combiner

the sat signal is then "destacked" into two signals again

In theory I think it should work but have never tried maybe someone who has could advise?

It would be dependent on the model of the stacker/destacker, but some do support a diplexed sat/terrestrial input signal.

Input Frequency (1) 5 - 2150 MHz / (2) 950 - 2150 MHz

(1) corresponds to combined terrestrial/sat freq range.

The sequence is : Aerial/Dish ->Diplexer -> Stacker -> Destacker -> Diplexer -> Receiver

I have this setup. Works nearly perfectly. The caveat is that the feeds coming from the destacker only work on the Sky box, they won't work on my FTA (Ariva 120) box.
