Help translating my surrname please?

Before you ask,I am fully Irish and proud. I'm not too good at my Gaeilge though
I've looked online for an Irish translation of my surname but I can't find any,could you help me translate? My surname is Perrill. Thanks for your help! 0

From my brief research it seems the name comes from 'Parrill' which was a first name, and a pet form for 'Peter'. No doubt someone out there knows a traditional Irish equivalent but my best guess for your surname as Gaeilge would be 'Mac Peadair'.0 -

As it's of longer vintage here, I would always prefer Piaras as the Irish version of that ultimately Greek name Petros, particularly if the family is of Norman origin (Piers ==> Piaras) rather than of English origin (Peter ==> Peadar). Piaras de Búrca sounds more historically continuous than Peadar de Búrca.
Although I note Seán de Bhulbh's Sloinnte has Parrell and Parle recorded as being synonymous and the Irish recorded as Pearail :

SURNAME DICTIONARY/ SLOINNTE NA h-ÉIREANN
Parle: Quite numerous: Wexford etc. Ir. Pearail. In Wexford 16 cent, probably a variant of Parrell and Perrin, diminutives of Peter. DBS.
Wolfe's 1923 record on this surname is here. Actually a Google for Pearail is very fruitful. There was an IRA volunteer named Séamus Pearail who was killed during the Civil War and is commemorated by a monument in Taghmon in Wexford.0 -
