I just registered, but I've been joining the velogames leagues since the Spring Classics (where I was 3rd. Let's not talk about the Giro

I'm afraid that I'm the guilty party. I was in 10/11th place on velogames before today's stage, and fell to 18th today it seems.
When it comes to our internal league; 9p is not much of a margin. But I knew that I could well struggle until the weekend. My team is heavy on GC/climbers and sprinters, it doesn't really have much when it comes to breakaways. This may be a design flaw in this race. Today's stage was obviously not for the sprinters, but I'm hoping that the next two stages may be manageable for some of the sprinters. If not, I'm going to keep suffering.

Tough day for my team today. Of the most recent 3 stages, today's stage was the one I was least worried about, and after how well it went yesterday I was getting optimistic. However, today's stage was a disaster. I thought there was a strong probability of a bunch sprint from a mini-peloton, but nobody really cared to catch the breakaway.
I'm especially disappointed with FDJ/Demare. After how they messed up tuesday's sprint, I thought they would for sure try today. After all, Demare isn't bad in this type of classics-terrain and neither are my two remaining sprinters, Martinez and Rensburg. Everything seemed set...and then they took the day off.
Well, I'm happy that Spilak got some points yesterday at least.
With this I fell from 8th to 10th today on the velogames overall ranking, and I continue to lead this league. However, the margin to matt's team is only 50p, so nothing is won yet. Bring on the mountains!0 -
So the race comes to a close and fortunately I manage to hold on to the lead in our internal league. I will take good care of the trophy.
I'm pretty happy about taking the win, and I even took 9th overall across Velogames. Not too shabby.
Congratulations as well to matt and decdon for taking the remaining podium spots in our league, matt even taking a 35th overall across Velogames. It seems our little league was pretty well represented.
