I'm trying to load a course on my garmin 810. I place the file in the new files folder via a mac.

I go go courses on the 810 but when I try to open courses the edge freezes. Any ideas?

I have an 800. I put my course files in the "New Files" folder on the SD card. They are available under courses then when I switch on the unit.

If I reconnect the unit to the computer (an old MacBook) they now appear not in the "New Files" folder of the SD card but in the courses folder on the Edge internal memory.

This is a great website for anything Garmin/Strava related and has loads of Garmin Edge tips.

I've done all that and nothing. Its worked before but does not appear to work now. I've tried different files etc and same result. I'll try it in work on a windows pc to see if it makes any difference

Quick update. I knew i had it working before so I tried using a course through garmin connect that I last used. It told me I needed to update garmin communicator. It now works

Can be a pain in the backside using Garmins sometimes but they're greeat all the same when in the middle of nowhere. I'd be lost without mine literally. :)
